Weatherstrip Replacement

If weatherstripping is removed or replaced it should be secured as follows:

For seal on glass assembly, push on new seal beginning at front center of glass and continue around periphery. Trim for butt joint. Use A suffix for vinyl top and B suffix for painted roof. For weatherstrip in roof opening, pull up on old weatherstrip to remove. If headliner material extends onto bottom surface of housing, trim back to bottom corner of upstanding flange. Apply bead of 3M Clear Auto Sealer 08551 (available in 5 oz. tubes at 3M outlets) or equivalent, to bottom corner of flange. Install new weatherstrip with vulcanized joint about 203mm (8 inches) from new center of opening.
