ADJUSTMENTS

Inboard/Outboard Adjustments

NOTE: Ensuring that these adjustments are correct may also cure water leaks and component squeaks.

NOTE: When making adjustments to the top linkage, be aware of possibly causing wrinkles in the vinyl material. Adjustments should be kept to a minimum and avoided completely, if possible. If a linkage adjustment is necessary, it may be necessary to reset the top material tacking strips (LH, Rear, and/or RH) to keep the vinyl smooth.

If the C-pillars are not centered between the quarter panels or, when the top is released, the header is not centered, the stack assembly must be adjusted inboard or outboard as follows:

NOTE: Check header and dowel pin alignment after performing this procedure. Adjust if necessary, as outlined.

  1. Remove rear seat and quarter trim panels as outlined.
  1. Loosen the six hydraulic cylinder support bolts and two nuts (three bolts, one nut each side).

  1. Slide the stack assembly left or right to center the assembly to the quarter panels and/or the windshield header.
  1. Tighten the bolts to 16-24 Nm (12-18 lb-ft).
