Seats and Tracks

The manual latch system is modular so it does not require customer or dealer adjustments or maintenance. Do not lubricate the latch system. Lubricating the mechanism will adversely affect free rotation of the locking cams.

The only authorized service permitted on the inertia and manual latch mechanism is the following:

• Installation of all retaining screws as required.
• Replacement (in entirety) of a damaged or nonfunctional latch assembly.
• Removal of any foreign material, such as tie straps, pieces of foam and trim.
