Seat Back Cover

Removal

1. Tilt the seat back forward, remove the seat back pivot covers. Remove bolts and/or pins and retainers from the seat back latch-to-cushion attachment assembly pivot arm.

2. Remove the seat back latch handle and bezel, if so equipped.

3. Remove screw retaining inboard seat back to cushion assembly.
   
   
   
   

4. Remove seat back from vehicle and place on a clean bench.

5. Remove the seat back trim robe panel, robe cord assembly, moulding and shields (retained by trim clips and/or tabs and screws) from the seat back, if so equipped.

6. Cut the hog rings, unhook J-retainer and remove the cover.
   
   
   
   

Installation

1. Transfer all bolster tiedown wires to their listings in the new cover assembly.

2. Install the cover assembly.

3. Install the hog rings that retain the cover.

4. Install the seat back trim panel, robe cord assembly, if so equipped, shield and mouldings to the seat back assembly.

5. Install the seat back latch handle and bezel, if so equipped.

6. Position the seat back assembly to the seat cushion and install the inboard retaining screw. Tighten retaining screw to 19-27 Nm (15-19 lb-ft). Refer to illustration under Removal, Step 3.

7. Install bolts, pins and retainer to seat back latch-to-cushion assembly pivot arm, and install pivot covers.

8. Check the seat back latch operation to be sure that the seat back assembly holds in the locked position.

Seat Back Pad

Removal

1. Remove seat back and cover as outlined.

2. Remove J-retainer from rear of seat back frame.

3. Remove seat back pad from seat back by lifting off of upper frame clip.

Installation

1. Position seat back pad on upper frame clip.

2. Attach plastic J-retainer to rear of seat back frame.

3. Install seat back and cover as outlined.
   
   
   
   

Cushion Cover and Pad

Removal

1. Remove the seat and track assembly as outlined.

2. Remove the seat track from the seat cushion as outlined.

3. Cut the hog rings from the cushion cover. Disengage plastic retainers from the seat cushion flange and remove cover.

4. Remove hog rings from spring assembly and remove the seat cushion pad.

Installation

1. Position pad to spring assembly and install hog rings.

2. Transfer all bolster tiedown wires to their respective listings in the new cover assembly.

3. Position cover over the cushion assembly and secure with hog rings and plastic retainers.

4. Install seat track to seat cushion as outlined.

5. Install seat and track assembly as outlined.
