Removal

 CAUTION: Use care when handling seat and track assembly. Dropping assembly or sitting on seat not secured in vehicle may result in damaged components.

1. Remove the plastic shield retaining pins, retaining nuts and screws from inside the vehicle. Move the seat full forward to release the assist spring and lift the seat and seat track assembly from the vehicle.

2. Place seat and seat track assemblies on a clean work area and disconnect the assist spring.

3. Remove the seat track-to-seat cushion retaining screws. Remove the seat cushion from the tracks.

4. Disconnect the latch tie wire from the seat tracks.

   NOTE: To ease assist spring removal and installation, adjust seat fully forward.

5. If seat tracks are being replaced, transfer the assist spring and latch tie wire to the new track assembly.

Installation

1. Mount the seat tracks to the seat cushion. Connect tie wire to the two tracks as they are positioned.

2. Install the seat track-to-seat cushion retaining screws. Tighten to 17-23 Nm (13-17 lb-ft).

3. Connect the assist spring between the seat tracks and seat cushion.

4. Place seat assembly into vehicle and install the seat over two front studs. Move the seat full forward making sure both sides lock.

5. Install rear screws. Tighten to 34-46 Nm (25-34 lb-ft). Slide seat to the full rearward position.

6. Install front retaining nuts. Tighten to 34-46 Nm (25-34 lb-ft). Ensure both latches operate properly.

7. Install plastic shields and retaining pins.
