Headlamp Switch

A combination three-position lighting switch, mounted in the instrument panel, controls circuits to the headlamps, parking lamps, marker lamps, tail lamps, license plate lamp, courtesy lamp, instrument panel lamps and ash receptacle lamps. A fuse in the fuse panel protects the tail lamp, license plate lamp, parking lamps, marker lamps and instrument panel lamps. A separate circuit breaker in the switch protects the headlamps. Refer to Section 18-01 for fuse location.

The headlamp switch is located on the upper LH side of the instrument panel. Push switch in to turn lamps on.

• First detent: Parking and side markers on.
• Second detent: Headlamps, parking and side markers on.
• Pull switch out to shut off lamps.
