REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Tachometer

 

Removal

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
  1. Remove instrument cluster. Refer to Section 13-01.
  1. Remove screws retaining mask and lens to cluster backplate and remove mask and lens.
  1. Pull tachometer out of cluster backplate.
 

Installation

  1. Position tachometer so that three terminal pins align with three clips in cluster backplate and press firmly into place to seat terminals. Use care to avoid leaving fingerprints on dial face.

     CAUTION: Tachometer is calibrated at factory. Excessive rough handling could disturb calibration.

  1. Position the lens and mask to cluster backplate and install retaining screws.
  1. Install instrument cluster. Refer to Section 13-01.
  1. Connect battery ground cable. Check tachometer operation.
