Removal

1. Remove instrument cluster. Refer to Section 13-01.

2. Remove five screws retaining lens and mask assembly to backing plate and remove assembly.

3. Pull out main dial assembly from backing plate clips.

Installation

1. Align gauge terminals to clips in backplate.

2. Install main dial assembly into backing plate aligning assembly over proper guides.

3. Position lens and mask assembly on backing plate and install five retaining screws.

4. Install cluster. Refer to Section 13-01.

Bulb, Indicator

Removal and Installation

On some vehicles it is necessary to remove the instrument cluster to gain access to the indicator bulb. Refer to Section 13-01.

To remove the indicator bulb, turn the bulb and socket assembly one-quarter turn counterclockwise and remove. To install, position the new bulb and socket assembly to the printed circuit and turn it clockwise one-quarter turn.
