Speedometer System Noisy

Applying heavy amounts of lubricant to the cable core will only stop the noise temporarily unless the actual source of noise is found and corrected. If the speed sensor or speedometer head are replaced, ensure that the square drive holes contain a sufficient amount of Speedometer Cable Grease E6TZ-19581-A (ESF-M1C160-A) or equivalent. If not, apply a 4.6mm (3/16 inch) diameter ball of this damping grease into the drive holes as required.
