Defroster Nozzle, Demister and Hoses, Register Ducts, and Plenum Chamber Duct
Removal
Remove console and instrument panel. Refer to Section 01-12.
Remove one screw retaining defroster nozzle to plenum chamber.
Defroster Nozzle, Demister Nozzles and Hoses, and Register Ducts
Remove three screws which attach defroster nozzle to instrument panel.
Disconnect demister hose from each end of nozzle. Remove nozzle.
Remove speaker grille from each side panel. Remove two screws which attach
each of demister nozzles. Remove nozzle and hose at each location.
To remove RH or LH register duct, remove one screw retaining duct to top of
instrument panel.
Remove one screw retaining duct to plenum chamber at overlap of plenum and
duct. Remove duct.
To remove plenum chamber duct, remove RH and LH register ducts. Then,
remove one screw from each side of plenum chamber and remove plenum chamber
from instrument panel.
Installation
Position plenum chamber duct against instrument panel. Install one screw at
each side of duct to attach plenum chamber duct.
Install RH and LH register ducts retaining each with two screws.
Install each demister and hose assembly with two screws working through
speaker grille opening. Install speaker grille.
Position defroster nozzle in instrument panel and plenum chamber. Then,
install three screws to attach defroster duct to instrument panel at defroster
openings.
Install one screw to attach defroster nozzle to plenum chamber.
Connect demister hoses to each end of defroster nozzle.
