Separate the blower motor wires at the connector located near the blower
motor resistor.
Connect a jumper wire between the motor connector black wire terminal and
the harness connector orange/black wire terminal.
Blower Motor Current Draw Test
Connect an ammeter Rotunda 007-00001 or equivalent, between the two
remaining connector terminals with the positive ammeter terminal connected to
the dark blue/light green wire terminal and the negative ammeter terminal
connected to the motor connector orange wire terminal.
Place the temperature selector knob in the mid-position and the function
selector knob in the HEAT position to turn the blower on.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
With a fully charged battery, the blower motor current draw (amps) should
be approximately as indicated for each blower speed in the blower switch chart
of the Electrical Wiring Diagram located in the Electrical Vacuum and
Troubleshooting Manual.
