REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve Assembly

 

Removal

  1. Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve assembly connector from the wiring harness.
  1. Remove the two idle air control (IAC) valve retaining bolts.
  1. Remove the idle air control (IAC) valve and gasket.
 

Installation

NOTE: If scraping is necessary, be careful not to damage idle air control (IAC) valve or throttle body gasket surfaces, or drop material into throttle body.

  1. Clean gasket mating surfaces.
  1. To install valve, reverse Removal procedure.
  1. Tighten retaining screws to 8-11 Nm (71-97 lb-in).
