REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Throttle Position (TP) Sensor

 

Removal

  1. Disconnect throttle position sensor from wiring harness.
  1. Remove two throttle position sensor retaining screws.
  1. Remove throttle position sensor.
 

Installation

  1. The throttle position sensor bushing (if present) must be reused. Install bushing with larger diameter facing outward.
  1. Install throttle position sensor on throttle shaft and rotate throttle position sensor 10-20 degrees counterclockwise to align screw holes.
  1. Install two throttle position sensor retaining screws. Tighten to 1.2-1.8 Nm (11-15 lb-in).
  1. Cycle throttle lever to WOT. It should return without interference.
  1. Connect throttle position sensor to the wiring harness.
