Remove the throttle linkage shield, and disconnect the throttle linkage and
cruise control. Unbolt the accelerator cable from the bracket and position out
of the way.
Disconnect the wire connectors at the throttle position sensor and the idle
air control (IAC) valve.
Loosen the clamp and disconnect the air intake hose from the throttle body.
Disconnect the hoses from the PCV and canister purge systems.
Remove the four bolts securing the throttle body to the upper intake
manifold and remove the throttle body.
Installation
Position the throttle body and new gasket to the upper intake manifold and
hand start all four bolts. Tighten the bolts evenly to 20-30 Nm
(15-22 lb-ft).
Connect the hoses for the PCV and canister purge systems.
Connect the air intake hose for the throttle body and tighten the clamp to
1.7-2.6 Nm (15-23 lb-in).
Connect the wire connectors at the throttle position sensor and the idle
air control (IAC) valve.
Connect the throttle linkage and cruise control. Bolt the accelerator cable
to the bracket. Install the throttle linkage shield.
