CAUTION: Do not oil threads that require oil resistant or water resistant sealer.

When installing nuts or bolts, oil the threads with light-weight engine oil.

Oil Pump

Oil pump installation information is shown in the illustration. Prime the oil pump with engine oil when making final installation. Ensure that both the oil pump and strap mounting surfaces are clean prior to assembly and that all bolts are tightened to specification. Tighten oil pump mounting bolts to 20-30 Nm (14-22 lb-ft). Tighten tube nut to 40-55 Nm (30-41 lb-ft).
