Luggage Compartment Deck Lid Latch and Striker

Except Hatchback

The striker can be adjusted up and down and the latch can be adjusted from side-to-side. Before adjusting the deck lid make sure that the deck lid is properly aligned. To adjust the latch, loosen the retaining screws, move the latch as required to enter the striker without deflecting the deck lid sideways, and tighten the retaining bolts to 9-14 Nm (7-10 lb-ft). Move the striker plate up or down as necessary to provide proper deck lid seal between the deck lid and the lower back panel.

Hatchback

1. The latch for the hatchback is not adjustable. Adjustments are made by moving the striker in its 6.4mm (1/4 inch) radial adjustment range (up/down and inboard/outboard) as required.

2. After making adjustments, tighten striker retaining bolt to 27-38 Nm (20-28 lb-ft).
