Mounting Bracket

 

Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the cable housing to mounting bracket retaining screw.
  1. On 2.3L engine and automatic transmission, disconnect the kickdown cable from the mounting bracket.
  1. Remove the bolts or nuts securing the accelerator cable mounting bracket to the engine.
  1. Lift the cable housing out of the mounting bracket. Remove the bracket.
  1. To install, reverse Removal procedure and tighten mounting bracket bolts to 14-20 Nm (10-15 lb-ft). On 2.3L check kickdown adjustment.
