DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY

Countershaft Bearing, Front

Tools Required:

 

Removal

NOTE: Remove the front countershaft bearing race only if it is worn or damaged. If the bearing race is removed, Threadlock and Sealer E0AZ-19554-AA (ESE-M4G204-A) or equivalent must be used during installation.

Using a press and Remover Tube T77J-7025-B and Mainshaft Front Bearing Replacers T82T-7003-DH and T77J-7025-M, and Countershaft Front Bearing Replacer T77J-7025-L (assembled to support case), remove bearing race with O-ring from case.

 CAUTION: Failure to properly support the case will result in permanent distortion of case during bearing race removal.





 

Installation

  1. Install O-ring onto bearing race. Coat bearing race outside diameter with Threadlock and Sealer E0AZ-19554-AA (ESE-M4G204-A) or equivalent and position bearing race to case.



  1. Using Pinion Bearing Cone Replacer T57L-4621-B and Remover/Replacer Tube T75L-7025-B, support transmission case on press. Press bearing race until flush with case.
