Stabilizer Bar

Removal

1. Raise vehicle on hoist. Refer to Section 00-02.

2. Remove and discard four bolts and stamped nuts attaching stabilizer bar to brackets in lower arms.

3. Remove stabilizer bar from vehicle.

Installation

1. Install four new stamped nuts on the stabilizer bar over each retaining hole.

2. Align four holes in stabilizer bar with holes in brackets in lower arms.

3. Install four new bolts. Tighten bolts to 45-70 Nm (33-51 lb-ft).

4. Visually inspect installation to ensure adequate clearance between stabilizer bar and lower arm.

   NOTE: Ensure bar is not installed upside down. A color code is provided on stabilizer bar (passenger side only) as an aid for proper positioning.

5. Lower vehicle.
