RH and LH Door

Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Remove door trim panel. Refer to Section 01-05.

3. Remove one screw retaining mirror mounting hole cover and remove cover.

4. Disconnect mirror assembly wiring connector and remove necessary wiring guides.

5. Remove the three mirror retaining nuts. Remove the mirror while guiding the wiring and connector through the hole in the door.

Installation

1. Install the mirror assembly by routing the connector and wiring through the hole in the door and attach with three retaining nuts. Tighten retaining nuts to 2.8-4.0 Nm (25-36 lb-in).

2. Connect mirror wiring connector and install wiring guides.

3. Replace mirror mounting hole cover and install one screw.

4. Replace door trim panel. Refer to Section 01-05.

5. Connect battery ground cable.
   
   
   
   

Convertible

Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Remove door trim panel. Refer to Section 01-05.

3. Peel back water shield far enough to expose wiring connector and two mirror attaching nuts.

4. Disconnect wiring connector from mirror to door wire harness.

5. Support mirror and remove two attaching nuts.

6. Pull mirror away from door while guiding wiring through holes.

Installation

1. Make sure gasket is attached to mirror, guide wiring through hole and set mirror on door.

2. Install two attaching nuts and tighten to 2.8-4.0 Nm (25-36 lb-in).

3. Connect mirror wiring to door wiring harness.

4. Install water shield to door.

5. Install door trim panel. Refer to Section 01-05.

6. Connect battery ground cable.
