Door Alignment

Refer to the illustrations under Removal and Installation while performing the following.

NOTE: Do not cover up poor door alignment with a latch striker adjustment.

The side door hinge system is a weld-on-door/bolt-on-body design. The system consists of a door-side hinge fusion welded to the door hinge face, which provides for no adjustment and a body-side hinge and check assembly secured to the lower pillar with three attaching screws which provide for the fore-and-aft and up-and-down door adjustment.
