REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Hood

 

Removal

  1. Open and support the hood. Mark the hood hinge locations on the hood.
  1. Protect the body with covers to prevent damage to the paint.
  1. Remove the two bolts retaining each hinge to the hood, taking care not to let the hood slip when the bolts are removed.
  1. Remove the hood from the vehicle.
 

Installation

  1. Position the hood to hood hinges by using original paint marking for initial positioning. Install retaining bolts. Remove the body covers.
  1. Adjust the hood for an even fit between the fenders and a flush fit with the front of the fenders.
  1. Adjust the hood for a flush fit with the top of the cowl and fenders.
  1. Adjust the hood latch if necessary.
